🎀Reflection:

➕John's disciples asked Jesus why his disciples were not fasting while they & the Pharisees were. Jesus retorted that the groom's men would never think of mourning while the groom remained with them but they would fast once he is taken away. Nobody mixes the old with the new; old should go with old & vice versa to avoid damage.

➕To copy or longing to belong without asking questions is one of the ways this present generation celebrates its ignorance. Once a thing is fashionable, only very few people ask the need for it. In this, Jesus faulted the allegation of John's disciples!

➕My amiable friends, it is today very obvious that we do  so many things not really counting on their imports on us but rather on how fashionable they are. Fashion is overtaking the world in such away that our dressing, hair - does, makeups, walking steps, mobility etc are dictated by whatever we see making round at any given point in time without looking at their intricate values.

➕The most perplexing part is that it has crept into our worship. We religiously prostitute as we move from one denomination to another in search of where it is *'happening'.* We copy both the good, the bad & the ugly in our quest to belong, & make them a way of life.

➕God is inviting us to a life of authentic existence rather than living at a sub - human level. Let us imitate not just because people are doing it but because there is intrinsic value & reason for it. Jesus has shown us the way because he is the truth & life (cf Jn.14:6).

πŸ™Let us pray: The Measure of all things, help us to be conscious of ourselves in our actions, carriage & comportment. Amen!

πŸ™We pray for a more authentic style of living among all people on earth. May God help them to identify the reason for their every action. Amen!

πŸ˜„May Mother of Perpetual Help pray for us!

πŸ™ŒHe will guide our footsteps!
